Paddle
Maintaining tips
1)
Use the fresh water to clean it
each time after use. Swimming pool Chlorin may soften the
epoxy.
2)
Store it in a dry and cool place
(below 30¡ãC), ideally put it inside the paddle bag. High
temperature will weaken the epoxy structure.
3)
Use the paddle bag when
transporting the paddle. Most of the minor damage were done
during transporting.
4)
DO NOT heat it! You will
soften the carbon structure.
5)
DO NOT drag the paddle
when you getting in or out of the water. It will wearing out
the Kevlar edge.
6)
DO NOT drop/throw the
paddle, put it gently without any sound, especially going in
and out of the pool. Each time you drop it, will create
litter crack you may not see.
7)
Dry it before put it in the
paddle bag.
8)
Every small crack will lead to
the break, repair it earlier by using epoxy or Kevlar (if
it¡¯s too big).
9)
Follow the rule! Don¡¯t use the
paddle to push the boat, you will break it.
10)
Don¡¯t try to break the paddle
during training by knock it extremely hard against the ball.
You won¡¯t have much chance to knock it like this during
game. What you are doing is actually trying to break it.
11)
Goalkeeper perhaps you should
consider to defend your goal a litter bit more in front of
the goal post. It¡¯s not a very nice sound when paddle hit
the goal post (make by stainless steel bar) it won¡¯t last
for long.
12)
Love your paddle, treat it
nicely. Don¡¯t blame it when you loss the game. It will last
much longer than you think. |
